Dealing with realtors, banks, and egos
Tuesday April 6Th, 2010
I submit an offer for a property at full price with bank statements (business & personal) and have called everyday since to try to get some kind of reply or confirmation from the listing agent. There are two phone numbers on the listing. One I leave messages and the other says the mailbox is full....everyday!
I have been finding this more and more that many Realtors are not taking care of business. It use to be that if you had an offer you would jump on it (especially at the asking price). I have submitted so many offers as of late with a client who is "approved" and has five figures in the bank with a great FICO score (credit score).
I'm not sure if Realtors are trying to wait for higher offers or are not professional to at least return a call or acknowledge they received your offer and it is under review.
Many short sale and bank owned homes today are listed with Realtors who are an elite group, as banks are shutting out other Realtors entering the question how did they get in or may I ask who are they paying or did they pay?
Are you finding many Realtors are not doing the job? Are your offers or calls being answered? Could this be why the market is so slow? What do you think?
